So Austria had the first ever IFMXF qualifier, where 8 riders fought for the last six places in the contest.
Romain Izzo, Martin Koren, William van den Putte, Lukas Weis, David Rinaldo and Hannes Ackermann made it thru the IFMXF try-out and qualified for the field of riders at the NIGHT of the JUMPs. With Jose Miralles (ESP), Brice Izzo (FRA), Brody Wilson (USA), Petr Pilat (CZE), Rob Adelberg (AUS) and Martin Schenk (AUT) the most exciting riders of last and this year’s World Championship as well as the local hero completed the starters with the six athletes from the qualifier.
Almost in the qualification the riders fired the best Freestyle Motocross on the track Graz have ever seen. Only local hero Martin Schenk could not finish his run due to shoulder problems. Germanys Hannes Ackermann premiered a Switchblade to Switchblade Flip and newcomer David Rinaldo showed a Superman Seatgrab Flip. Same trick had William von den Putte, but all of them did not reach the final. Rob Adelberg, Brody Wilson, Romain Izzo, Brice Izzo, Jose Miralles and Petr Pilat made it into the next round.
And those guys hammered a flip mania on the track in the final: Superman Seatgrab Flip by Jose Miralles, Shaolin Flip by Romain Izzo, Tsunami Flip by Brody Wilson, Stripper Flip by Petr Pilat, Tsunami Flip Indy by Brice Izzo and Clicker to Clicker Flip by Rob Adelberg. Finally Adelberg took the win ahead of Wilson and Izzo.
